1. Amtrak Service Overview

Stopover Holidays acts as a reseller for Amtrak train services. All Amtrak bookings made through us are subject to the specific terms and conditions of Amtrak in addition to these Terms.

2. Ticket Purchase and Booking

Availability: All Amtrak bookings are subject to availability at the time of booking. Stopover Holidays cannot guarantee ticket availability until a booking confirmation has been issued.

Booking Confirmation: Once you submit a booking request, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your Amtrak tickets. Please review the confirmation carefully and contact us immediately if there are any errors.

Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking. Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards and other forms of payment specified on our website. Tickets will not be issued until payment is received in full.

Ticket Types: Amtrak offers different types of tickets (e.g., Saver, Value, Flexible, Business Class, and First Class). Each ticket type has its own set of rules regarding changes and cancellations. Please review the specific terms for your ticket type before purchasing.

3. Ticket Changes and Cancellation

5. Identification and Boarding

Valid ID: All passengers must present valid government-issued identification when requested by Amtrak personnel. Failure to present proper ID may result in denied boarding, and no refunds will be issued in such cases.

Boarding Time: Passengers must arrive at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before departure. Failure to board on time may result in forfeiting your ticket, and refunds may not be available.

6. Baggage Policy

Carry-on: Amtrak allows each passenger to bring two personal items and two carry-on bags at no additional cost. Oversized or overweight bags may incur additional fees.

Checked Baggage: Amtrak offers checked baggage services at select stations. Fees and weight limits apply. Stopover Holidays is not responsible for any loss or damage to checked or carry-on baggage.

Prohibited Items: Certain items are prohibited from being carried on or checked into Amtrak trains (e.g., firearms, hazardous materials). It is your responsibility to review Amtrak's baggage policies and ensure compliance.

7. Special Assistance

9. Passenger Conduct

Code of Conduct: All passengers must comply with Amtrak’s code of conduct during their journey. Disruptive behavior, including but not limited to, harassment of other passengers, failure to follow safety instructions, or damage to property, may result in removal from the train without a refund.

Alcohol and Smoking: Consumption of alcohol is only permitted in designated areas, and smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is strictly prohibited on all Amtrak trains.

10. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost luggage. Stopover Holidays does not provide travel insurance but can assist in referring you to third-party providers.

11. Changes by Stopover Holidays

Modifications: Stopover Holidays reserves the right to make minor modifications to Amtrak travel itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances. Significant changes will be communicated to the customer, and alternative options will be provided where possible.

Cancellations by Stopover Holidays: In rare cases, we may be required to cancel a booking due to external factors. If this occurs, you will be offered an alternative service or a full refund.

12. Pricing and Fees

Pricing: All prices for Amtrak tickets and services are subject to change without notice due to factors such as availability, currency fluctuations, or changes in government taxes.

We do not own or operate any airline, hotel, or transportation company. We are not liable for any actions, errors, or omissions on the part of such service providers.

4. Eligibility By using our services, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. If you are using the service on behalf of a minor, you agree to assume full responsibility for that minor’s use of the service, including all financial charges.

5. Booking Process

5.1 Reservations and Confirmations When you request a booking through Stopoverholidays, we will act as an intermediary to facilitate the reservation on your behalf. The booking will be confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from us. The confirmation will include all relevant details, such as your flight information, accommodation details, and other booked services.

5.2 Booking Accuracy It is your responsibility to review the confirmation details to ensure accuracy. Any discrepancies should be reported to us immediately. We are not responsible for incorrect information provided by you, including but not limited to wrong names, dates, or destinations.

5.3 Changes to Bookings Changes to confirmed bookings may result in additional charges. We will assist you in making modifications, subject to availability and the terms and conditions of the airlines or other service providers involved. Stopoverholidays is not responsible for any fees imposed by third-party suppliers due to changes.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Pricing and Currency

All prices are quoted in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. 9. Airline Terms and Conditions
